ScrubShareScrubShare strips hidden metadata (location, device, author fields) from photos, PDFs, and Office documents — entirely on your device.
Does cleaning reduce photo quality?
No. For JPEG and HEIC, ScrubShare rewrites the file around the untouched compressed image data — pixels are bit-for-bit identical. The verification screen tells you when a clean was lossless.
Why does the app say something couldn't be removed?
Honesty is the point. A few rare structures (like some PDF XMP blocks) can't be fully removed yet; ScrubShare reports them instead of pretending. Tracked changes and comments in Office documents are reported, not removed.
Can someone still tell where my photo was taken?
Removing metadata removes the coordinates — but what's visible in a photo (street signs, storefronts, license plates) can still give a location away. Use Redact or Hide Background to pixelate those details; redactions are burned into the pixels.
How do I use it from other apps?
Tap Share in Photos, Files or any app, then choose ScrubShare (or the Clean Metadata action). If you don't see it, scroll to the end of the app row, tap More, and enable ScrubShare.
How do I cancel the subscription?
Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → ScrubShare, or in ScrubShare: Settings → Manage Subscription. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid month.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
ScrubShare → Settings → Restore Purchase, signed into the same Apple Account.

Open an issue on the ScrubShare support tracker — include the file type (never the file itself, unless you're comfortable sharing it) and what you expected to happen.
